Dear Wyly friends and family,
I am very thankful for Kelly Alford’s time at the Wyly and greatly appreciate all she has done for the Basalt arts community. I am honored to follow in her footsteps. Last August, the Board of Directors of the Wyly selected me as the new Executive Director and I am beyond excited to serve the Wyly and the greater arts community. I aim to provide leadership and direction for the Wyly during this exciting time of change and development in Basalt and the Valley. As an arts center, the Wyly is both an exhibition space and a classroom. I plan to grow both aspects and continue to make art available for everyone all the time.
I was raised in Berkeley, California, graduating from the Arts and Humanities Academy at Berkeley High and then the University of Washington at Seattle with a dual BA in Art History and Interdisciplinary Visual Art, including a two year undergraduate art fellowship in Italy. I have worked in arts administration, management, education, programing, and fundraising for more than a decade. In 2008, my passion for visual arts brought me to the Aspen Art Museum, where I developed programs in education and outreach, before joining the management team at the Wheeler Opera House and completing my MA from the University of Denver in Arts Development and Program Management. I am President of the Aspen Young Professionals Association, sit on the Board of Directors of the Aspen Youth Center, and I am recent graduate of Roaring Fork Leadership.

I look forward to learning from all of you and working with you to help the Wyly realize its great potential as a community leader and regional center of art learning and celebration.
