Let’s get tropical with a Tiki theme in this exciting camp! Students will embark on a creative journey to craft their own Tiki masks and totem poles. Throughout this dynamic workshop, participants will learn the art of working with EVA foam, mastering techniques to cut and shape it into four unique masks adorning a standing totem pole. In addition to creating masks, students will explore the intricacies of stencil-making and discover how to incorporate various craft items to embellish their totem poles with colorful designs and patterns. Get ready to immerse yourself in the vibrant world of Tiki culture and unleash your inner artist in this lively and hands-on class!

Dive into a world of creativity with Carbondale artist Stanley Bell! Join us for a week-long adventure as we explore a multitude of indoor and outdoor activities designed to ignite imaginations and inspire artistic expression. Participants will unleash their creativity through a variety of hands-on projects, including skateboard decks, crafting toys and action figures using oven-baked modeling clay, designing unique artwork on baseball hats, and creating their comic books and stories. Whether they’re exploring new artistic mediums, honing their storytelling skills, or simply having fun in the great outdoors, this camp promises an unforgettable week of creativity, learning, and fun!

SUPPLIES AND WHAT TO BRING
Art supplies are provided for all summer art camps. Please pack a lunch, water bottle and two snacks for your child. Dress your child for mess and have them bring a hat and sunscreen as we will be spending time outdoors.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Please give as much notice as possible if you need to cancel a registration. Cancellations within 48 hours of class start are subject to cancellation fees up to the total cost of registration. Cancellations with notice of 14 days or more will be issued a refund less a $50 cancellation fee. Camps canceled with notice of 14 days or less will be charged a cancellation fee totaling half of the total cost of registration. Cancellations within 7 days of the workshop will be charged the full cost of registraiton.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Scholarships are available for all Art Base classes. Applications can be found on the Art Base website in both English and Spanish. Complete the online form or email the completed application and any questions regarding scholarships to programs@theartbase.org.

During classes and events at the Art Base, yours or your child’s image and/or likeness may at any time be captured by still photography, videography, or other photographic or electronic means. Unless consent is waived on the class registration form or the Art Base is notified in writing that you do not want your or your child’s image to be used, the Art Base reserves the right to use any such image, photograph, video, or the like for archival, social media, marketing, or other Art Base related purposes.
