Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Free! (Lunch included)
Ages: 8-13
Registration Deadline: March 7

Join us for a unique opportunity tailored for bilingual Spanish-speaking youth! In this engaging two-day workshop led by Denver-based artist Tony Ortega, participants aged 8-13 will explore the tradition of Alebrijes—fantastical creatures born from imagination—while utilizing recycled materials to create their own unique masterpieces.

In this hands-on workshop, students will discover the enchanting history of Alebrijes and learn to bring them to life using everyday recycled materials like plastic containers, egg cartons, and toilet paper rolls. They will learn paper mache techniques and painting with gesso and acrylic paints to add vibrant colors and details to their creations.

This workshop fosters creativity and provides valuable language development opportunities. Participants will be immersed in a bilingual environment that enhances their language skills while they engage in artistic expression.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
